Ford is shaking things up quite a bit in 2019! From the much-anticipated Ford Ranger to the all-new Ford lineup that just features trucks and SUVs, Ford has big plans for its lineup this year.

At Gillie Hyde Ford, it's our duty to keep our customers in Glasgow, Bowling Green, and the surrounding areas up to date with the latest offerings from Ford. Here's a comprehensive look at what you can expect from Ford in 2019.

The All-New Ford Ranger

It's been a long 8 years since the Ford sold a new Ranger in the United States, but the Ranger is back and better than ever! The 2019 Ford Ranger has best-in-class towing and payload capability, a powerful EcoBoost engine, and was designed to withstand the toughest conditions. This midsize truck is making a huge splash in its segment for 2019 and is currently available in the XL, XLT, and the Lariat trims.

The All-New Ford Lineup: Trucks and SUVs

One of the most important changes expected from Ford this year is that all Ford sedans and coupes, besides the Mustang, enter their final year of production. The Ford Focus was the first sedan to be removed for the Ford lineup and the Ford Fiesta and Taurus are due to be phased out by the end of the 2019 model year. These have been very popular vehicles at Gillie Hyde, so we will continue to sell them throughout 2019. Ford will still support these vehicles and OEM parts will be readily available for years to come, so in many ways these vehicles will still be a big part of the Ford lineup.

Upcoming Vehicles for 2020

There are exciting new additions to the Ford lineup to look forward to in 2020 including the GT 500, the all-new Ford Explorer and the Ford Bronco comeback.

The legendary Ford Bronco is making a comeback in 2020. Known for its exceptional off-roading capabilities, the 2021 Bronco is expected to be powerful with an available 7-speed manual transmission. The Ford Bronco is expected to pay tribute to its iconic exterior but feature modern day updates. There are rumors that the Bronco's roof will be removable, in three pieces, and called the "Air Roof," similar to the Jeep Wrangler. The Ford Bronco will be similar in size to the Explorer and Expedition, falling into the mid-size SUV category.

Another upcoming vehicle for 2020 is the Shelby GT500, a new Mustang with 700 plus horsepower. The legendary GT500 I expected to hit 60 mph in less than three seconds and turn the quarter mile in less than eleven seconds, appealing to thrill seekers everywhere.

The Ford Explorer is undergoing major changes in 2020. While the Ford Explorer is not expected to receive major exterior styling updates, it will receive significant passenger space and cargo space additions, more powerful engines and a new rear-wheel drive platform for higher tow ratings. Additional tech and driver assistance features are also expected upgrades for the Ford Explorer.

Finally, the 2020 Ford Escape is expected to receive a facelift as well. The popular compact SUV is due for the next generation and we are excited to see what Ford has in store for this one.

Ford is finding more ways to appeal to busy family's lifestyles, making the Explorer a great choice for families in Glasgow and the surrounding areas.
