Rear-wheel drive is standard, while all-wheel drive is available in all models. 
The 2023 Ranger has excellent standard features such as a 4-wheel anti-lock braking system (ABS), automatic on/off headlamps, steel front, and rear bumpers, four cargo box tie-down hooks, and climate control. 
Safety features are abundant and include a 360-degree camera, rearview camera, pre-collision assist with emergency braking, blind spot information system, cross-traffic alert, and Roll Stability. The pickup is well-equipped with a front driver, passenger, and side curtain airbags.

So how well does the 2023 Ranger handle rugged terrain and off-road travel? The answer is pretty well. Under the hood, the Ranger boasts a 2.3L Ecoboost engine capable of delivering 270 horsepower, and 310 lb-ft of torque, with a towing capacity of up to 7500 lbs and a payload capacity of up to 1650 lbs.In terms of fuel economy, the new Ford Ranger comes with an 18-gallon tank and a 10-speed automatic transmission and rates at a combined city/highway of 23 mpg, which drops slightly to 22 mpg in the optional all-wheel drive.
