The Ford Super Duty is the only heavy-duty truck with a body that's entirely high-strength, military-grade aluminum alloy. This is important because not only does the all-aluminum alloy body make it lighter, it also makes it more resistant to dings, dents, and corrosion. The all-aluminum alloy body is mount to a fully boxed, over 95 percent high-strength steel frame with through-welded crossmembers for superior rigidity and strength.

You'll notice the new 2020 Ford Super Duty trucks have a completely redesigned exterior with a bold new grille. The grille design is more open, which gives the Super Duty not only a more aggressive look, but the added benefit of increasing airflow to the cooling systems.

New Powertrain Options of the 2020 Ford Super Duty Trucks

The 2020 Super Duty lineup features new, more powerful gas engines, along with the option of a new, more capable transmission. 

The 7.3L V8 engine is all-new for 2020, offering more powerful than the standard 6.2L gas V8 but sits right below the optional 7.3L V8 gas engine. It's designed to deliver drivers torque, power, and capability needed for handling heavy-duty commercial applications. 

New for 2020 is the all-new 10-speed TorqShift with SelectShift transmission. This new transmission optimizes drive ratios and improves shift performance and efficiency. The transmission also reduces emissions and minimizes wear and tear on other parts of the truck. 

 

Driver Assist Technologies

There's no shortage of driver-assist technologies in the all-new 2020 Ford Super Duty. The Super Duty Lineup comes with Blind Sport Information System with Cross Traffic Alert and trailer coverage, alerting you when a vehicle is detected in a blind spot, pre-collision assist with automatic braking, trailer reverse guidance, pro-trailer backup assist, a 360-degree camera, and more.
